In Connecticut it is illegal to allow a minor (anyone under 21) to possess alcohol in any dwelling unit or on private property. The law
makes it an “A" Misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail for a property owner or someone in charge of a private party to knowingly,
recklessly or with criminal negligence permit any minor to possess alcoholic liquor on that property


OR


if the property owner or person in control of the property is aware of possession of alcohol by a minor on that property, reasonable effort
must be made to halt that possession. Violation of this section is an infraction.
