Since 2004, Ingrid has served as the Director of Communities 4 Action, formerly known as the Lower Fairfield County Regional Action Council, and has partnered with regional groups to strengthen local efforts to reduce substance abuse and promote mental health across the lifespan. Ingrid has a Bachelor of Physical Education Degree and a Masters of Science in Community Economic Development. She has worked for over 30 years in the human services field in both urban and rural communities. Early in her career, she was trained in Asset Based Community Development and Asset Based Youth Development, which have been instrumental in her approach to assisting communities and organizations address social and public health issues. Ingrid is a member of the Connecticut Alcohol and Drug Policy Council (ADPC) and serves as Tri-Chair of the ADPC Prevention subcommittee. Regionally, Ingrid facilitates MAADS, and helped to spearhead the passing of Bill 5487 which provides immunity to anyone administering nalaxone.
