Advocacy

We advocate on behalf of individuals and groups to ensure they have access to quality substance abuse prevention, treatment services, and ongoing recovery resources. We also educate local and state legislators about the policy issues related to the substance use prevention and strategies to address substance use/misuse (e.g., the opiate crisis) and problem gambling.

CURRENT CRITICAL LEGISLATIVE ISSUES:

  • Opioid Abuse

  • Vaping

  • Medical Marijuana

  • Marijuana Impact on Youth and Legalization

  • Alcohol Awareness

  • Early Diversion Programs

  • Gambling
